In today’s World, being aware of sustainability and how we can absorb it into our everyday lives is becoming ever important. With this in mind, we have created a range of light shades that are all made sustainably and yet haven’t sacrificed on quality of style.
The little sister to our Gatsby light, MIMZY is our smaller take on a 1920’s inspired laser cut shade using the traditional geometric shapes as seen in the eras architecture.
Made from sustainably cut 3mm birch plywood from Finland, MIMZY is made up of two central rings with a total of 8 blades, and would make a beautiful addition to any room hung either on her own or with a collection of shades.
Measuring 177mm in width, and 180mm tall this shade uses 90 degree angles to force the light out in several directions making it both a piece of art to look at during the day but a stunning light feature when the outside light starts to fade.
Perfect with any E27 lamp fitting, this shade comes into its own when hung in smaller rooms, perhaps an office or child’s bedroom, adding a feature into a room by bringing angles of light down to the space below.
All our shades come in raw birch plywood, but there is the option to have the shade stained in four other colours, for an additional cost.
Each of our shades arrives with you flatpacked and is packaged by hand in a kraft box with kraft tissue paper, with instructions of how to put the shade together.
Please be aware that due to the nature of the plywood, and the process it goes through during the lasering stage, the raw wood effect has a beautiful burnt look along the edges. Similarly, once the shades are stained, there will be slight variations in the colour dependent on the grain of the plywood (the pictures shown are for visual purposes only – there may be slight variations upon delivery).
